Gregory Mance, (B.S., Criminal Justice, 1999), Griffith Police Chief, was recently honored by the Hoosier State Press Association for his role in helping to launch the Regional Crime Report, the online database of criminal activity hosted on the NWI Times website. Mance is noted for increasing transparency within the police department, building trust from the community, and ultimately reducing crime in Griffith. Read more here. And, here.

DeNeen Attard (Thaxton), (B.A., Organizational Communication, 1993), certified life coach, minister and author, will launch her “Rize Up! Be Inspired Be Remarkable Tour in Texas this fall. Attard recently authored a book, Trinity of Coaching: God, You, and Your Life Coach, which has “helped countless women discover the joy and sense of accomplishment they desire.” Read more here.

Joni Jacques (B.G.S, 2009), recently appeared on Oprah’s “Where Are They Now” episode, which got back in touch with memorable guests. Jacques’ inspiring story here.

TaShena Melton (B.A., Sociology, 2002), was recently featured in the NWI Times as the manager of St. Monica Home. Read more here.

David Murtaugh (B.G.S., 2005) was recently appointed as the executive director of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute by Gov. Mike Pence. Murtaugh previously served as Northwest Indiana regional director for U.S. Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind. Read more here.

Yousef Musleh (B.S., Business, 2010), along with fellow Anytime Fitness co-owner Josh Canarini, was recently featured in the NWI Times for their successful small business venture. Read more here.

Matt Saltanovitz (M.B.A., 2009), was recently named as one of the NWI Times’ 20 Under 40 honorees. Read more here:

John Schultz (B.S., Criminal Justice, 2010), who served three tours of duty in Afghanistan as a U.S. Army Ranger and plans to make a career in the military, recently received a hero’s welcome when he returned home. Read more here.
