Lady RedHawks qualify for A.I.I. postseason tournament

The Office of Athletics is proud to announce that the 2014-15 RedHawks women’s basketball team has qualified for the Association of Independent Institutions postseason tournament. The Lady RedHawks will travel to Northern New Mexico College from Feb. 25 through March 1 and will play their opening-round game on Friday, Feb. 27.

The RedHawks are currently ranked No. 2 in the A.I.I. standings with a 16-11 overall record. It is likely that they will open against the No. 3 seed and host, Northern New Mexico College (12-13). Ashford University sits atop the conference with an impressive 17-5 record. Ashford will face either Johnson & Wales University (9-17) or Rochester College (7-18). 

All games will be streamed live from the NNMC Athletic Website ( for free.

The A.I.I. Championship will be determined on Saturday, Feb. 28, tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST. The winner will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship held in Sioux City, Iowa, from March 11-17.
