Major in Spanish with an Associate of Arts in Latino Studies
Latino Studies program in conjunction with the Modern Languages Department offers a program of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree (major) in Spanish and an Associate of Arts degree in Latino Studies.
Requirements (Spanish) The requirements for the Spanish B.A. component of this program are the same as for the regular Spanish major. They are listed in the Modern Languages section of the bulletin.
Requirements (Latino Studies) (a) CHRI C101 IntroJuction to Latino Studies and 12 additional credit hours from the Latino Studies course listings(required); (b) Recommended course of study for program articulating Latino Studies A.A. to Spanish major will include CHRI C351 Latino Culture and Society and CHRI C301 History of Puerto Rico or CHRI C444 History of Mexico
