IU Northwest offers two-part workshop, ‘Super-charged Selling,’ Nov. 30 and Dec. 14

Learn how to grow your business through proven selling techniques


Gary, Ind – Indiana University Northwest’s School of Business and Economics invites business professionals to learn how to effectively sell solutions to clients at a two-part workshop, “Super-charged Selling,” from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 and Thursday, Dec. 14 in the Dunes Medical/Professional Building, Room 1156.

The workshop, which begins at 8:15 a.m. after a networking session, will help attendees discover the secret to growing your business through highly effective selling techniques.

Material covered in this workshop is based on conversational techniques once practiced by the Greek philosopher, Socrates. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to ask a series of easily answered questions that will lead the prospect to only one reasonable conclusion – to say “yes.”

Session I topics include:

-       Rapport Building

-       Active Listening

-       Customer Needs Assessment

-       Opportunity Development

Session II topics include:

-       Overcoming Obstacles

-       Plotting a Course of Action

-       Crafting Mutually Beneficial Outcomes

About the facilitators

The workshop facilitators, Tom Byelick and Michele Piskol, are from the experiential training and development firm known as “Yes, & then …”

Tom Byelick has more than two decades of experience in the corporate world. Tom’s background, primarily in the pharmaceutical and health care industries consists of roles in sales leadership as well as in training, which provides a keen awareness of the needs of most businesses.

Michele Piskol’s background and tenured experience as an educator and instructional coach help to provide a solid educational foundation for many of the firm’s training offerings.
