Semester Load
A full-time undergraduate student is expected to carry 12-17 credit hours of academic work per semester. If students have earned a cumulative grade point average of at least B (3.0) in all work taken at Indiana University, they may receive permission from the dean or director of Education Student Services to carry 18 credit hours or more in a semester. Education students are encouraged not to enroll in more than 6 credit hours of academic work during either Summer Session. It is recommended that a person who is employed full time take no more than 6 credit hours of academic work.
