The Academic Recruitment Guide was developed as a tool for Search & Screen Committees to aid in the academic search authorization process. The Guide is provided by the Office of Affirmative Action and Employment Practices (AAEP), to assist the user in understanding the electronic authorization process for faculty and executive administration staff positions via the OneStart > Services > Administrative Systems > Academic portal. Only those individuals designated as Initiators in the system will have access to create edocs in the system. If your department requires Initiator access please call the office at 219-980-6705.
New to the search and screen process? For faculty positions, to begin the approval process a Vacancy Notice (available in OneStart - Academic Portal) must be completed by either the Chairperson or the Chairperson's designee. Position announcements must be completed via PeopleAdmin (available in OneStart - Academic Portal) the on-line application system.
