Student Ambassadors

Want to know what it’s really like to be a RedHawk? Looking for the inside scoop on transitioning to college or transferring to IU Northwest? Have a question about … pretty much anything?

Our student ambassadors are here to help. They’re a fun, friendly bunch of students committed to sharing their passion for IU Northwest and working together with the Office of Admissions to recruit and welcome future and current students of all ages and life stages.

I honestly have loved all of the opportunities I have been given by attending IU Northwest. Since we are so close to Chicago, I've been able to volunteer and intern for a company in the city that I've dreamed about working for since high school.

Become an Ambassador

We’re always looking for new students to represent IU Northwest. Being a student ambassador offers the opportunity to meet lots of really great people and serve in a leadership role on campus.

Student ambassadors are required to:

  • Be outgoing and able to engage with people in a knowledgeable, respectful, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Willing to attend meetings on a regular basis and available to attend on- and off-campus events, as individual class schedules permit.

Becoming an ambassador is a selective process: a completed application and interview are required. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
