Whether you're just out of high school, an older student returning to college, or an adult enrolling for the first time, we have the academic resources to help you succeed.

Academic Calendars—lists key dates for each semester and summer session, including exam schedules.

Academic Student Success Assistance—offers tutoring in many topics including math and reading.

Army ROTC—enables students to serve as officers in the Army, Army National Guard, or the Army Reserve while earning college degrees.

Career Services—helps students and alumni plan for successful careers and secure meaningful employment. Services include interest testing, advising and counseling, a career resource library, on-campus recruiting, job fairs and career days, internship program, work study services, and a job listing file.

Continuing Studies—offers the Associate of General Studies and the Bachelor of General Studies degrees and certificate programs, as well as credit and noncredit courses, conferences, and seminars designed for students of all ages.

Distance Education—offers both online and pen-and-paper format courses.

International Studies and Programs—provides overseas study opportunities and assistance to international students on campus.

Math Lab—provides free tutoring services on a walk-in basis.

Occupational Development Program—helps students pursuing an associate degree or certificate in allied health, nursing, dental education, or public and environmental affairs.

Off-Campus Instructional Sites—brings IU Northwest to you with sites in Portage and at Lake Central High School.

Student Support Services—offers personal and academic support services to help eligible students adjust to life at IU Northwest and earn their degrees.

Supplemental Instruction—provides free study sessions several times a week for selected courses. The sessions are conducted by undergraduates who attend the class and work with the professor to help students share and master information.

Union Education Program—offers noncredit classes in labor law, collective bargaining, steward training, and arbitration.

Writing Center—offers free individualized advice and guidance.
