northwest Indiana general public for a fee of $50 per workshop.
- Alumni and employees sponsored by non-profit organizations
may attend for $35 per
workshop.
- Registration requests will not be considered complete
until fees have been paid.

"What
are these workshops?"
These award-winning
hands-on, instructor-led computing workshops were written by the Information Technology Training & Education personnel of the
University Information Technology Services Department of Indiana University
in Bloomington and Indianapolis. Only slight modifications have been made
to adapt them for the Northwest campus. Attendees receive a highly detailed
handout that provides step-by-step instructions for everything covered
in class.

Purchase Workshop
Handouts for Self-Study:
Handouts combine
conceptual explanations with step-by-step instructions for everything
covered in a workshop. Those who are unable to attend or who simply prefer
self-study, may purchase single copies of workshop handouts. Fees vary
according to your status:
- IUN currently registered students, faculty
and staff may purchase single copies of a workshop handout for
self-study for $5 each.
- Members of the northwest Indiana general public
may purchase copies for $35 each.
- IUN alumni (grads) and nonprofit organizations
may purchase copies for $25 each.
- All class handouts are copyrighted
by the Trustees of Indiana University and may not otherwise
be copied or distributed. Individuals or organizations
interested in purchasing larger quantities or to teach others

- Everyone who attends
a workshop receives a printed copy of the workshop handout to
keep at no extra charge.

computer training:
IT Training Online’s Skillsoft eLearning courses give you access to nearly 3,000 self-study IT courses, provided by SkillSoft Learning, available in three course bundles via the Indiana University University Information Technology Services web site.
- Desktop
Bundle: 400+ courses on desktop applications from Microsoft and Adobe (including Macromedia) and courses on consumer finances, technology, and productivity.
- IT
bundle: 1500+ courses on topics such as application development (with Java/.NET/VB & more), Oracle & Microsoft databases, e-Commerce, networking, and Windows/Unix/Linux server administration..
Microsoft
Desktop eLearning Courses: Courses and referene materials on Office
& Windows. Free to students, faculty and staff from any IU campus.

Tutorials: Quick coverage of some IU servcies & important IT concepts
To access the
modules online, registered students, faculty and staff need to have an
active "ADS" account. ADS accounts are currently created when
you create your IUN email account. If you do not already have your technology
accounts, IUN students can create their accounts from home at the IU
Account Management Services page.
