Office of Student Life & Athletics

The Office of Student Life promotes and enhances the quality of student life on the IU Northwest campus. The office serves as the central university resource for Student Clubs and Organizations and Athletics.

All clubs and organizations must register with Student Life Office to be officially recognized by the University. Professional assistance is available to clubs and organizations in sponsoring campus activities addressing special needs and interests and with forming new clubs. The Student Life Office approves on-campus postings provides student club mail-boxes and assists with club petitions for funding.

Every year a Club / Organization application must be filled out for your club to remain in the student handbook and to continue to have a webpage. Print the form, fill it out and return it to the Office of Student Life, Savannah 217, Attn: Scott Fulk.

Additional services include the issuance of photo ID cards and the distribution of recreational equipment and games. Photo ID cards are obtained at the Security Booth ourside the Savannah Center gym.

Athletics

If you are interested in participating in athletics at IU Northwest, please fill out our student athlete interest form.

Indiana University Northwest is a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics NAIA Division II University for the following sports:

  • Basketball - Mens
  • Basketball - Womens
  • Volleyball
  • Cheerleading
  NAIA Camp Logo

All student athletes must meet NAIA eligibility requirements in order to participate in athletics at IU Northwest. In addition, there are requirements for students who are Transfer Students.

Students also participate in Cheerleading.

Fitness Center

The Savannah Fitness and Recreation Center is open to students, staff, faculty, and the public. The center has a full work-out room with cybex equipment. A suspended 1/12th mile walking/running track and a 3-court gymnasium where the IU Northwest RedHawk Basketball and Volleyball teams play in NAIA competitions.
