Occupational Development Program
Welcome
The Occupational Development Program (ODP) at Indiana University Northwest (IUN) addresses the academic needs by providing free tutoring services and learning resources to students pursuing an associate degree or a proficiency certificate through the Divisions of Allied Health, Nursing, Dental Education, and School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
Indiana University Northwest (IUN) students rely on the Occupational Development Program (ODP) for academic as well as motivational support success with their studies. ODP is unique in that it provides assistance to meet both the academic and individual needs of the student.
As one of the largest tutoring centers on the IU Northwest campus, ODP provides educational tools that students can effectively utilize in their course work. The tutoring services provided by ODP combine instruction in study skills with specific course information and remediation. The combination to encourage success not only in courses students are currently taking, in addition to those that follow.
By building the general academic skills necessary to learn about a topic, students participating in ODP can be more successful in all of their courses, not simply in the one for which tutoring is provided.
