Subject: Mission Statement
Last year the Faculty Organization voted to table a proposed revision of the IUN mission statement. As a result, the old mission statement is still in effect.
Please find enclosed copies of the current mission statement and the revised mission statement. At the November meeting of the Faculty Organization I will move that the revised mission statement be removed from the table so that we can vote on its adoption.

Last fall a revision of the IUN mission statement was distributed to the faculty and comments invited. A number of suggestions were received and Chancellor Richards, Vice-Chancellor Richards, and Paul Kern made a few more changes in light of these suggestions. Attached is this final version. Chancellor Richards will present it for the approval of the Faculty Organization at its March meeting.
