The Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association and the Indiana University Alumni Association - Lakeshore Region Chapter are here to help you achieve your learning objectives and goals through a series of free “Lifelong Learning” seminars open to the general community, as well as to IU Northwest students, faculty, staff and alumni. Thursday, April 19: “Retirement Economics: What Does It Take and How Do I Do It?” 5:30 p.m. Reception 6 p.m. Presentation Portage Commons, IU Northwest’s instructional site located at 5916 U.S. 6 in Portage The presenter for this session will be Bert Miller, CFP®, MBA, a certified financial planner with more than 25 years of experience in the investment business. Miller also has obtained his Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), Charted Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Charted Life Underwriter Credential (CLU®) and holds an MBA from Indiana University. Miller will help attendees effectively plan for retirement income, discussing such issues as structuring FDIC-insured CDs; creating your own pension, and using asset allocation.
