IU Northwest to host IU Soul Revue concert Feb. 16

Enjoy R and B, soul, funk and contemporary urban music at popular event

In recognition of Black History Month, the Indiana University Northwest Office of Diversity Programming and the Neal-Marshall Alumni Club invite the campus and community for a performance by the Indiana University Soul Revue at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16 in the Bruce W. Bergland Auditorium, located in the Savannah Center.

The IU Soul Revue, of the African American Arts Institute based at IU’s Bloomington campus, boasts more than 30 years of experience performing the timeless sounds of R&B, soul, funk and contemporary urban black popular music. Performances feature original compositions along with arrangements of works recorded by well-known artists.

Since 1971, Soul Revue has enjoyed its reputation as one of the finest collegiate popular music ensembles in America. Its electric performances are delivered by its commanding male and female vocal ensemble, powerful horn line and outstanding rhythm section.

Doors open at 5 p.m. The Savannah Center is located on the northeast corner of campus at 33^rd Avenue and Broadway in Gary.
