Asia Day, a favored annual Indiana University Northwest celebration, will take place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10 in the Savannah Center gymnasium. Students, local citizens and visiting guests will entertain the campus with music, dance, fashion and henna tattoos inspired by various Asian ethnicities. Enjoy a sampling of free food inspired by the South and East Asian, and Middle Eastern cultures. The campus and community are invited to join in this free festive celebration sponsored by the IU Northwest School of Business and Economics and the Office of Diversity Programming. All food will be catered by local restaurants. The Savannah Center is located at the southeast corner of the main campus parking lot at 33rd Avenue and Broadway in Gary.
