Job seekers have an opportunity to network with a number of potential employers at IU Northwest’s 10th Annual Job Fair, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 6 in the Savannah Center Gymnasium. Brought to you by the IU Northwest Office of Career Services, the fair affords visitors the opportunity to explore full-time, part-time and internship opportunities in the region while developing critical job searching skills such as networking, making a good first impression and marketing your skills. Representatives from dozens of area companies, including banks, non-profit agencies, healthcare providers and more, are expected to be on hand to provide information about their companies, take applications and interview candidates. To date, employers represented at this year’s event include: The list of participating employers is growing, with new companies still being added. Visitors can also talk with representatives from the IU Northwest Office of Admissions about IU Northwest’s various programs of study as well as non-degree continuing education classes. Attendees are reminded to bring copies of their resume and to dress professionally for this free event. The Savannah Center Gymnasium is located at the southeast corner of the main campus parking lot at 33rd Avenue and Broadway in Gary, one half-mile south of I-80/94. Free parking is available in the parking lot located just north of 33rd Avenue, or in the Park & Ride lot located at Grant St. and 37th Ave. in the Village Shopping Center.
