Food pantries in Northwest Indiana are in dire need of supplies. In cooperation with the IU Northwest Alumni Association and the IU Alumni Association – Lakeshore Region Chapter, the Student Alumni Association has mobilized to answer the call and urges all students, staff and faculty to deposit non-perishable food in collection bins that will be placed around campus the week of Feb. 21. The drive got a head start last week, as collection bins were placed at 36 locations across Lake and Porter counties. The campus drive will run until March 4.
