Thank you for visiting the only public theatre degree program in Northwest Indiana. We pride ourselves in the quality of education we can provide for our students. Our program emphasizes the importance of all areas of professional theatre by using current information in our classes, individualized training, and in trying to create a professional working environment on stage.  Our award winning faculty brings a combined 40 years of professional and academic experience to their classes. IU Northwest is only forty minutes from Chicago and our affiliation with many theatres in the area has made for an easy transition between the academic and the professional world for many of our students.

Performing arts provides academic curricula in music, theatre, and dance for students who seek to develop careers in these areas. Extensive performance programs provide practical experiences that complement classroom study.
