Communications Operator (CLOD) - IU Northwest Police Department The IU Northwest Police Department is seeking an individual to receive, monitor and dispatch communications received for the department to the proper destinations. Some of the responsibilities are to dispatch police officers to various locations; provide assistance and information to faculty, staff and students; enter data on radio logs; type/word process data on events and for reports; monitor car pools and lost and found property and issue temporary parking permits. Qualifications: Must have high school diploma or equivalent; ability to use a personal computer/typewriter; excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to handle phone calls in friendly and courteous manner and ability to understand and monitor a computerized security system.
