I'm a senior
professor in the School of Education. My doctorate is in Curriculum & Instruction - Reading from the University of Wisconsin. I began my teaching
career as a middle school English teacher and then served as a reading specialist and consultant. Now in higher education,
I currently work with preservice and inservice teachers in both the elementary
and secondary schools in the areas of developmental, corrective, content-area,
and critical reading. I have authored professional journal articles,
instructional CDs and video podcasts, and presented at numerous state, regional, and national
education conferences. My current research interests include technology
and teaching, hyper-reading strategies, balanced reading
programs, and alternative reading assessment techniques.
Here are the classes that I am currently teaching. Click on each bulleted course number in left column to view the current course syllabus.
