Social Studies Journals. A good place to start looking for teaching ideas is in the professional journals section of the Library. The three social studies journals you will find most useful are Social Studies and the Young Learner, Social Education, and The Social Studies.

    COMP shows you how to put more than 20 years of effective classrooms research into practice. Developed at Vanderbilt University by Carolyn Evertson it is used by thousands of teachers nationwide. If you would like to see the materials, I am a certified trainer and can show them to you.
